Overview
The Bridgent BDG-RSP Road Sweeper Truck is a multi-function winter maintenance vehicle that combines three essential winter road maintenance functions in a single truck: snow plowing with a front-mounted hydraulic plow blade, residual snow sweeping with a rear-mounted rotary brush, and de-icing agent or sand spreading with an integrated spreader system.
The front-mounted hydraulic plow blade is designed for efficient snow removal from highway lanes, city streets, and other paved surfaces. The blade is hydraulically controlled for angle and height adjustment, allowing the operator to direct the plowed snow to the side of the road without stopping the vehicle. The blade's robust steel construction and replaceable wear edge ensure long service life in demanding winter conditions.
The rear-mounted rotary brush sweeps residual snow and slush from the road surface after the plow blade has cleared the bulk of the snow. The brush rotation speed and down pressure are hydraulically controlled, allowing the operator to adjust the sweeping intensity based on the snow conditions. The swept material is discharged to the side of the road, leaving a clean, dry road surface.
The integrated spreader system distributes de-icing agents (salt, calcium chloride, or other de-icers) or anti-skid sand evenly across the road surface. The spreader can operate simultaneously with the plow and sweeper, allowing the BDG-RSP to complete a full winter maintenance pass in a single operation.
The BDG-RSP's multi-function capability reduces the number of vehicles required for winter road maintenance, lowering fleet costs and improving operational efficiency. A single BDG-RSP can replace three separate specialized vehicles, significantly reducing the cost per kilometer of winter maintenance.
