Overview
The Bridgent BDG-HDSP Heavy Duty Snow Plow is the most powerful snow removal machine in our winter maintenance lineup, designed for the most demanding applications where large volumes of snow must be cleared quickly from critical infrastructure including highways, expressways, and airport runways.
The BDG-HDSP's large hydraulic plow blade is constructed from high-strength steel with a replaceable wear edge that extends the blade's service life and maintains cutting efficiency throughout the winter season. The blade width ranges from 3000mm to 4500mm, depending on the chassis configuration, allowing the BDG-HDSP to clear a full highway lane or airport taxiway in a single pass.
The hydraulic control system provides precise control of the blade angle, height, and down pressure. The blade can be angled to direct snow to either side of the road, or set to a straight position for pushing snow directly ahead. The hydraulic down pressure control allows the operator to adjust the blade's cutting force based on the snow conditions, from light fresh snow to compacted ice.
The BDG-HDSP is built on a heavy-duty truck chassis with a high-power engine that provides the tractive force required to push large volumes of heavy, wet snow at highway speeds. The four-wheel drive option ensures maximum traction on slippery road surfaces.
For airport applications, the BDG-HDSP can be configured with a rubber blade edge that protects runway surface markings and lighting fixtures from damage during snow removal operations. The airport configuration also includes enhanced lighting and communication systems for safe operation on active runways.
