The Bridgent BDG-CF Crack Filling Equipment is a specialized road maintenance machine designed for the efficient and effective sealing of cracks in asphalt and concrete pavements. Proper crack sealing is one of the most cost-effective pavement maintenance treatments available, preventing water infiltration that accelerates pavement deterioration and extending pavement service life by 5–10 years.
The BDG-CF's fully automatic heating system maintains the crack sealant at the optimal application temperature throughout the working day. Unlike manual heating systems that can overheat the sealant, causing burning, discoloration, and loss of adhesive properties, the BDG-CF's automatic temperature controller maintains the sealant within the manufacturer's recommended temperature range with ±5°C precision. This ensures that the sealant retains its full adhesive and elastic properties, producing seals that remain effective for 5–8 years.
The sealant application system uses a precision pump and wand to deliver a consistent flow of sealant into the crack. The pump speed is controlled by the operator to match the crack width and depth, ensuring complete filling without overflow or voids. The wand's design allows the operator to work efficiently, filling cracks at a rate of up to 200 meters per hour.
The BDG-CF is compatible with all standard hot-applied crack sealants, including rubberized asphalt, modified bitumen, and polymerized asphalt sealants. The large sealant tank capacity allows extended operations between refilling stops, improving productivity on large crack sealing projects.
The truck-mounted design allows the BDG-CF to be driven along the road while the operator fills cracks from the rear platform, combining mobility with efficient operation. The platform is equipped with safety railings and non-slip surfaces for operator safety.
