Cold In-Place Recycling Train

Complete mobile CIR train for continuous in-place pavement recycling

Cold In-Place Recycling Train

Overview

The Bridgent BDG-CIRT Cold In-Place Recycling Train represents the most advanced approach to pavement rehabilitation, combining milling, mixing, and relaying operations in a single, continuous mobile process. The train approach eliminates the need for separate milling, hauling, and paving operations, significantly reducing project duration, traffic disruption, and cost.

The BDG-CIRT train consists of a milling machine that reclaims the existing asphalt pavement to the required depth, a mixing unit that combines the reclaimed asphalt with emulsified asphalt, water, and optional additives, and a paving screed that places the recycled asphalt mixture in a single, continuous operation. The entire train moves forward at a controlled speed, processing the pavement continuously without stopping.

The train's control system integrates the milling depth, mixing ratios, and paving thickness into a single automated process. The operator monitors and adjusts the process parameters from a central control station, with real-time feedback from sensors throughout the train. The system automatically adjusts the emulsified asphalt and water addition rates based on the milled material characteristics, ensuring consistent recycled asphalt quality.

The BDG-CIRT is designed for highway rehabilitation projects where minimizing traffic disruption is a priority. The continuous operation approach allows the train to process and relay pavement at speeds of up to 5 meters per minute, completing a lane of highway rehabilitation in a single pass without the multiple equipment moves and traffic control changes required by conventional rehabilitation methods.

For international highway rehabilitation projects, the BDG-CIRT provides a compelling combination of speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness that is increasingly specified by highway authorities seeking sustainable and efficient pavement rehabilitation solutions.
